Welcome to Cispus River

The Cispus River is located in the Cascades near Mt. St. Helens. It runs through a lush forest before emptying into the Cowlitz River. This type of forest surrounded all of Mt. St. Helens prior to the 1980 eruption. There are numerous hiking trails in the area as well as mountain bike riding. The Randle loop, using Forest Roads 25, 76 and 23 is a great road bike ride. If the level of the river is not too high, the Cispus offers fishing for various salmonids. Mt. St. Helens is close by and is a fascinating destination, especially when one enters the destruction of the blast zone.
