Welcome to Westport

Westport is a small community right along the Pacific coast of Washington. It occupies a sandy peninsula near the mouth of the Chehalis river (also known as Grays Harbor). It offers saltwater fishing, either in the surf or off a substantial jetty located at Westhaven State Park. The top of the jetty has been flattened considerably over the past several years so access is fairly simple. Additionally, there are plenty of charter services that cater to salmon, botton fish or tuna. Crabbing is available at the public docks in the city's marina. During short periods in the spring, the beaches are open to razor clam harvest (check the regulations for specific times) but be prepared for throngs of people. And since Westport is flat, the biking is very easy, with good side trips to Grayland or Tokeland.
