1. Ogemaw Falls

Directions: From US-41 & M-28 take US-41 north 4.6 miles (past canyon falls) to Baraga Plains Road on the left. Follow this road 1.7 miles until it crosses Ogemaw Creek, the falls are 50 yds from the road to the west. 

2. Lower Falls River Falls

Directions: From US-41 in L'Anse where the Falls River crosses under the highway, park on the north side of the road and follow the river downstream to the falls. 

3. Unnamed Falls on the Falls River

Directions: Take US-41 south of L'Anse and as you cross the Falls River park next to the bridge on the north side and walk upstream a couple hundred yards. 

4. Middle Falls River Falls

Directions: These falls are located on private property, please respect the rights of other people's personal property. From L'Anse on M-41 go right on Broad Street and the right on Main Street and park next to the Celotex Corporation building. The trail to the fall begins upstream, just outside the fence around the building. 

5. Upper Falls River Falls

From L'Anse on M-41 go south 1.5 miles turn right on Power Dam Road and go another .7 miles (past East River Road) and turn onto a two-track that leads to the park past the gate. Once at the river walk downstream to the falls.

6. Power House Falls

7. Daults Falls

8. Upper Silver Falls

Directions: From Herman, go east on Keranen Rd and take the first fork to the right, which should be Summit Rd. Take Summit south then east 1.0 miles where Summit turns south but Lahti Road continues east. Continue east on Lahti 0.9 miles. Take the first left past the gravel pit and follow this road about 2 miles and when you see an old rusty snowplow on the right, keep going about 300 yds and there should be a trail. Take this trail to the river and downstream to the falls. 

9. Upper Silver River Falls 1-4

Directions: From Herman, go east on Keranen Rd and take the first fork to the right, which should be Summit Rd. Take Summit south then east 1.0 miles where Summit turns south but Lahti Road continues east. Continue east on Lahti 2 miles until you come to the Silver River. Cross the wooden bridge and hike 3/4 mile downstream to view all 4 falls. 

10. Harley Creek Falls 1-4

Directions: From Herman, go east on Keranen Rd and take the first fork to the right, which should be Summit Rd. Take Summit south then east 1.0 miles where Summit turns south but Lahti Road continues east. Continue east on Lahti 0.9 miles. Take the first left past the gravel pit and go north on this road about 3 miles (Upper Silver Falls is about 2 miles down this road, about 300 yds past the old snow plow on the right) to the Silver River. Hike upstream 500 yds to Harley Creek, cross the Silver River and hike Harley Creek upstream 1100 yds to the first fall. The other 3 are within 800 yds upstream from here. 

11. Middle Silver River Falls 1-2

Directions: From L'Anse go south 0.5 miles and turn left on Dynamite Hill Road for 3.5 miles and take the left fork (Avron Rd) past Gomanche Creek and over the Silver River. Park at the gravel pit and hike downstream 3/4 mile following the river to view all the falls (up to 6, depending on what you call a waterfall or not). 

12. Gomanche Falls

Directions: From L'Anse, go east on Dynamite Hill Rd. for about 4 miles to where the pavement ends, take the left fork (Avron Rd) and go a short distance until you cross Gomanche Creek. Park and follow the east bank to the north about 1/4 to the falls. 

13. Lower Silver River Falls 1-3

Directions: From L'Anse go 7 miles east until Silver Falls Road just before the Silver River. Turn right and follow this road to the south for 1/2 mile and follow the left fork to the parking area and the falls #1 and #2. If you take the right fork 0.2 miles to the river you can hike upstream 300 yds to visit fall #3. 

14. Slate River Falls

Directions: From US-41 take Broad St into L'Anse and turn right onto Main St. This road turns into Skanee Rd and follow it east for 7 miles until you cross the Slate River (marked by a road sign!). Turn right and park. There is no good trail back to the falls, you just have to follow the river the best you can. 

15. Ecstasy Falls

Directions: From L'Anse go 11 miles east on Skanee Rd. and park at the Slate River. Follow the west bluff upstream past Slate Falls (700 yds) until you get to Ecstasy Falls (400 yds further upstream). 

16. Slide Falls

Location: 6 miles SW of Skanee
Directions: From L'Anse go 11 miles east on Skanee Rd. and park at the Slate River. Follow the west bluff upstream past Slate Falls (700 yds), Ecstasy Falls (400 yds further upstream), and then Slide Falls (250 more yds). 

17. Kuckuk's Falls

Location: 6 miles SW of Skanee
Directions: From L'Anse go 11 miles east on Skanee Rd. and park at the Slate River. Follow the west bluff upstream past Slate Falls (700 yds), Ecstasy Falls (400 yds further upstream), Slide Falls (250 more yds) and then Kuckuk's another 350 yds. 

18. Quartzite Falls

Directions: From L'Anse go 11 miles east on Skanee Rd. and right (south) on Arvon Rd just before the Slate River. Go approximately 4 miles until there is a gravel road on the left, park at the bridge and the fall is within 50 yards of the road to the south. 

19. Black Slate Falls

Directions: From L'Anse go 11 miles east on Skanee Rd. and right (south) on Arvon Rd just before the Slate River. Go approximately 4 miles until there is a gravel road on the left, park at the bridge and the fall is within 50 yards of the road to the north. 

20. Ravine River Falls

Directions: From Skanee go 1.5 miles east on Skanee Rd. and turn right on Roland Lake Road. Take this road south 3 miles and follow the road right at the public access at Roland lake and until it turns due south. At that point there should be a two-track on the right. Follow this two-track towards the river. 

21. Big Erick's Falls

Directions: From Skanee go 6 miles east on Skanee Rd. and follow the road towards Big Bay. Park at the bridge at the Huron River and the fall is within 50 yards of the road to the north. 

22. West Branch Falls

Directions: These falls are located on private property, please respect the rights of other people's personal property. From Skanee go 5 miles east on Skanee Rd. and turn south onto Black Creek Road, then go 1.9 miles. Turn east here on a two track road and go a short distance until the river is visible and the road turns south. Park, walk to the river and continue upstream. Wade across the river to avoid the steep cliff on the west. Starting from the West Branch Lower Falls, walk on the east side, climb and wade upstream in the canyon. Pass several drops and curves until the waterfall can be seen after rounding a bend with two smaller waterfalls in the foreground. 

23. Erick's Falls

Directions: From Skanee go 5 miles east on Skanee Rd. and turn south on Black Creek Rd. Just past the bridge at the W. Huron River there is a big parking space at the northeast corner and the fall is within 50 yards of the road to the north. 

24. Lower Leatherby Falls

Directions: From Skanee go 5 miles and turn south on Black Creek Rd. Just past the bridge at Erick's Falls turn south on 'Longyear Rd' and drive this road south. At the 2 mile mark will be a trail to Lower Leatherby Falls. 

25. Leatherby Falls

Directions: From Skanee go 5 miles east on Skanee Rd. and turn south on Black Creek Rd. Just past the bridge at Erick's Falls turn right on 'Longyear Rd'. Take Longyear south for 1.4 miles and there will be a gated drive for the trail to Lower Leatherby Falls. Continue south for 0.9 mile to where the main road goes left and there is a two-track on the right, take this road west staying to the right to the river and park. Take the ORV trail on the left southwest 150 yds to the falls.

26. Upper Leatherby Falls

Directions: From Skanee go 5 miles east on Skanee Rd. and turn south on Black Creek Rd. Just past the bridge at Erick's Falls turn south on 'Longyear Rd' and drive this road south. At the 2 mile mark will be a trail to Lower Leatherby Falls, continue south for 1 more mile to where the main road goes left and there is a two-track on the right, take this road west to the river. Upper Leatherby is 1/4 mile upstream from Leatherby Falls 

27. East Branch Falls

Location: 6.5 miles SE of Skanee     N 46 50.949    W 88 03.772 
Directions: From Skanee go 6 miles east on Skanee Rd. and follow the road towards Big Bay. Cross the bridge at the Huron River and Big Ericks Falls and continue on for a short way until you cross a culvert bridge over a creek. Turn right on the logging road and head west for a 1/4 mile before it dead ends. Park and walk cross country for a couple hundred yards until you hit an ORV trail. Take the ORV trail south 200 yards to the start of East Branch Falls. There should be a two part smaller one and then upstream about a 1/4 mile a larger fall of about 12 ft. 

28. Big Falls

Directions: From US-41 take Broad St into L'Anse and turn right onto Main St. This road turns into Skanee Rd and follow it east for 18 miles. Turn right at Black Creek Rd and go south for 1.6 miles and turn left at the unmarked two-track. This road(?) goes across the river (here's where you need a truck) and take the fork in the road to the left for approx. 2 miles. Turn right at the old plow and go another .5 miles until there is a small clearing on the left and you can hear the falls. 

29. Forty Foot Falls (Cliff Falls)

Directions: From US-41 take Broad St into L'Anse and turn right onto Main St. This road turns into Skanee Rd and follow it east until you reach Skanee. From here go east for another mile and a half to where the road forks. Take the right fork to Big Bay on Big Bay Rd. (don't count on a road sign). After about a mile you should come to a bridge, from here travel another 6.7 miles until a large clearing on the right. There should be a road to the left with a green road sign. Follow this road (there should be another road just off to the left that leads back to the main road if you are on the right road) past the swamp on the left and the Cliff Falls Hunting Club. Stay to the right at the fork in the road and travel another .9 mile to the top of the hill, the falls are on the right. 

30. Cedar Creek Falls

Directions: From Skanee, take Skanee Road east until it turns into Big Bay Rd and after crossing the Cliff River follow Northwestern Road to the left for about 3.5 miles until Cedar Creek. The falls are just upstream from there.

31. West Yellow Dog Falls

Directions: From CR-510 and AAA Rd near Big Bay follow AAA west 3.1 miles to a fork. Northwestern is on the right but continue on AAA another 11.3 miles to a curve around a small pond (this curve is considered 'Anderson's corner'). Stay on this road 1.6 miles as you go to the south and park and take the trail to the right to the falls. 

32. Bulldog Falls 1-5

Directions: From CR-510 and AAA Rd near Big Bay follow AAA west 3.1 miles to a fork. Northwestern is on the right but continue on AAA another 11.3 miles to a curve around a small pond (this curve is considered 'Anderson's corner'). Stay on this road 1.6 miles as you go to the south and park and take the trail to the right to the West Yellow Dog Falls. Cross the river below the falls and hike east for almost a mile bearing slightly south if possible. When you reach the Yellow Dog River head upstream. 

33. Twin Falls (Hogback Falls)

Directions: From CR-510 and AAA Rd near Big Bay follow AAA west 3.1 miles to Northwestern on the right. Take Northwestern west 4.9 miles to a two-track just before Dodge City. Follow this two-track north 2.0 miles. Park here and hike the left fork west then north 1.1 miles to a fork. Take the right fork north 0.1 miles until another fork. Take the left fork north 0.1 miles until a clearing, follow the ORV trail north downhill 0.2 miles until a wet area and you can hear the falls and then hike east 125 yds on the right 

34. Wylie Falls

Directions: One mile west of Pinnacle Falls Road on Triple A Road, turn south. Exactly 1.3 miles turn right. This road is blocked in about .3 miles; continue by foot, west, on the grass road which is hard to recognize at times. 

35. Pinnacle Falls

Directions: From CR-510 and AAA Rd near Big Bay follow AAA west 3.1 miles to a fork. Northwestern is on the right but continue on AAA another 2.8 miles to a two-track on the left. Take the two-track south 1.1 miles to a fork. Take the left fork 0.3 miles to another fork. Stay on the left fork another 0.3 miles and then take the right fork 0.8 miles (past two other trails) to a parking area. Take the trail that parallels the river 0.5 miles to the river and hike 200 yds around the large rock mountain top on the right to the falls. 

36. Upper Alder Falls

Directions: From Big Bay travel 2.5 miles south on CR-550 until the first road on the right past Alder Creek. Take this road and follow it past Alder Falls about .15 miles (1 mile total from main road). There are upper and lower parts to this falls about 60 yds apart with another small falls just upstream. 

37. Alder Falls

Directions: From Big Bay travel about 2.5 miles south on CR-550 until the first road on the right past Alder Creek. Take this road and follow the fork to the left until you see a trail to the falls about .7 miles. 

38.Bushy Creek Falls

Directions: From where the Yellow Dog River crosses CR-510 5.5 miles south of Big Bay go north 1 mile until the Bushy Creek Truck Trail on the right. Take this road all the way to Bushy Creek and the falls. There are numerous other waterfalls (up to 7) on the Yellow Dog River that are upstream from where Bushy Creek converges with the Yellow Dog River. 

39. Yellow Dog Falls 1-7

41. Big Garlic Falls
