1. Dee Lundeen Falls

Directions: The latest information that I have is that this property is gated and is posted no trespassing. Please respect the rights of other people's personal property. Here are the  directions if the owners permission is obtained: Take US 41 west of the Peshekee River  Bridge (between Michigamme and Champion) for 2.5 miles to where there is a Methodist  Institute on the south side. Across from this there is a dirt road heading north. Follow  this road 1.3 miles to a fork in the road and take the right fork and go 1.2 miles to an old  wooden bridge. Cross the stream by foot on the rotting bridge. Follow the road away from the  river around the big hill, and then descend on the other side of the hill, where the road  ends and a short trail goes to the river and the waterfall. 

2. Mulligan Falls (Upper and Lower)

Directions: From US-41, drive north, on County Road 573 (Deer Lake Road) about 15 miles  until you come to the Dead River. Immediately after crossing the river take the road on the  left for 1.1 miles (crossing Mulligan's Creek) to the second two-track on the right. Take  this two-track north 3.2 miles to a wooden bridge. Cross the bridge by foot or drive thru  the water around it and go 0.8 miles to a fork, take the left fork 0.2 miles to an overgrown  two-track on the left. Follow this 1/2 mile to the falls.  There is also another waterfall in this area that can be reached by going straight 0.4 miles  past the overgrown two-track (instead of turning left) until you reach Stager Creek and the  falls should be on the left @ N 46 41.256 W 87 49.559. 

3. Black River Falls

Directions: Go west from Ishpeming on US-41, turning left (south) on Lake Shore Drive  (marked by a blinking light and a Ford dealership). Go another 1.2 miles and turn right at  the sign for the National Mine and go unto you come to a four-way stop then turn right. This  is CR-581 and travel another 8.1 miles until you see two signs that say "Island Lake Club"  and "falls". Turn right (west) here. Take the right fork after .6 miles and go another.3  mile until CR-CCP when you make another right, going to the end of the road where there is a  parking area. The trail to the falls is to the right. 

4. White City Falls

Take County Road 581 south  for 4.4 miles from County Road 482 and County Road 581 junction. Turn east onto County Road  CG and then onto County Road CCU and proceed for almost three miles. 


5. Ely Falls

Directions: In Ishpeming, take Washington Street, which becomes County Road 476, south from  Business M-28 for about 3.5 miles. At this point watch for a paved road that enters from the  west. At the next bend in County Road 476, there is a hill on the east. Climb this hill on  foot, the waterfalls are at the bottom, to the east.

6. Schweitzer Falls

Directions: From M-35 in Palmer travel south and turn right on CR-565, following this road  until the junction of CR-476. From here go 1.5 miles south until you cross Schweitzer creek.  Drive south another 250 yds and take the two-track on the right (west), then take the right  fork north 200 yards to the top of a hilltop. From there, you can hike downstream 150 yards  to the falls. 

7. Warner Falls

Directions: Go south on M-35 thru Palmer. The falls are .3 miles from the Warner Creek sign  on the right (west) hand side and are viewable from the road. 

8. Upper Carp River Falls

Location: 8.5 mi W of Marquette     N 46 31.280     W 87 34.579 
Directions: Take US-41 west of Marquette towards Negaunee. After crossing the Carp River,  look for the first business on the left, Semco Energy. Cross over to the south side and  park near the guard rail. Follow the forest line along Semco's property to where the field  ends. At that point you'll see a footpath that takes you to the two falls at the rock  outcropping

9. Reany Falls

Directions: Go west on M-41/M-28 from Marquette and turn right (north) on Wright Street  (first street past the mall). Drive about 3/4 miles and turn left onto Forestville Road.  Drive about 2 1/2 miles. You will cross a steel bridge and come to a second bridge. As you  cross the second bridge (before the Power Plant parking lot) you will see the falls to the  right. 

10. Upper Dead River Falls 1-5

Directions: Go west on M-41/M-28 from Marquette and turn right (north) on Wright Street  (first street past the mall). Drive about 3/4 miles and turn left onto Forestville Road.  Drive about 2 1/2 miles until you come to the power plant. Follow the electrical wires up  the hill and take the trail that is marked 'falls', then follow the river upstream to view  all of the falls. 

11. Lower Dead River Falls 1-2

Directions: From US-41 take Wright street north 1.4 miles to a gated drive on the left.  Park and hike to the river 

12. Lower Carp River Falls 1-6

Directions: Take CR-553 south 1.7 miles from Marquette and turn right on a trail road/snowmobile trail just before a guard rail and the Marquette Mountain Ski Hill. Continue on this old railroad bed until you come to a parking area for Morgan Falls on the left. Cross the river upstream of Morgan falls, then follow the Carp River upstream about 1/2 mile to the right to view all of the falls.

13. Morgan Falls

Directions: From Marquette turn south on McClellan Avenue (a Value Host Inn is on the  corner). Drive about 2.5 miles and turn right on a two-track just before the Carp River  Bridge. This road can be very rough and you probably need a truck. Drive about 1.5 miles and  there is a small turnout on the left about 400 yards before a wooden bridge. The falls are  here down a steep bank.  Notes: Carp River Falls 1-6 can be reach with a .6 mile walk from here. Cross Morgan Creek  and walk about 100 yds downstream to where Morgan Creek is joined by the Carp River. Follow  the Carp River upstream. 

14. Morgan Meadows Falls

Directions: From Marquette, take County Road 492 southwest from US 41 for about three miles.  Turn left on Morgan Meadow Road (County Road HM) and almost immediately cross Morgan Creek.  Turn left on the gravel road just after the creek. This gravel road soon crosses the creek  and one half mile further the creek crosses back to the left side of the road. At this point  there is a trail on the left that follows the river. The waterfall is very close to the  road. 

15. Cataract Dam Falls

Location: 3 miles NW of Princeton     N 46 18.961    W 87 30.704
Directions: Three miles northwest of Princeton (just east of the point on M-35 where County  Road 557 goes south) take the gravel road County Road EEE north for about two miles. When  the main road turns right take the left fork, County Road EEF, to the dam. 


16. Frohling Falls

Location: 5.5 miles W of Skandia      N 46 21.667      W 87 19.791
Directions: From US-41 & M-94 West south of Skandia, take M-94 5.3 miles to a two track on  the right (north). Park and hike the two-track, left at the fork, then straight till you hit  the creek At the river hike upstream (south) 100 yards to see the two smaller falls. Then go  back to the trail at the river and hike NNW 1400 yards to see Frohling Falls.

17. Upper Chocolay Falls

Location: 2.3 miles SW of Skandia      N 46 20.050     W 87 19.743
Directions: Drive south, on County Road OL, one mile from Skandia. Turn west on County Road  460 for 1.5 miles, then southeast on County Road 545 for 1.2 miles. Turn east on a drive that ends in the farm. Walk across an old bridge through a field into  the trees by the river.
