West Branch Sturgeon Falls
Directions: From M-38 in Nisula, take M-38 west 0.9 miles to Newberry Road on the left. Take Newberry south 2.8 miles to the last two-track before the river (Newberry Rd dead ends at the river) Hogger Falls is .5 miles down this two-track with West Branch falls 0.6 miles further. Park at the dirt berms blocking the two-track, then hike east 150 yds, then south 250 yds to the river. West Branch #1 is the furthest downstream with 3 smaller falls each about 100yds upstream from there. Notes: I was there and only seen #1 and #2. I have no idea why I didn't see the others, all I had to do was go 200 more yds~Sheesh! |
