Notes: Walking behind the Midway Geyser during the noon sun allowed us to see the rainbowish hues created by the sun and the steam from the the geyser. When viewed from the road the steam was pure white but with the sun at our backs it was a deep blue in the center and green and orange on the outer edges.

Everybody we met on the trail said the falls were really cool and I just thought that they liked them. What they actually meant was that there is a mist given off by the falls and combined with the high cliffs and shadows it was really cool there.
