This is just a little bit of information about me and my qualifications.

     I have decorated cakes it seems for most of my life.  When my children were young I would make their birthday cakes.  I had no training back then but I still enjoyed designing their cakes for them.  My professional training got started after my Mom found that she was getting enquiries for specialty cakes through her catering business in our home town of Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario.   My younger sister and I  started with lessons in cake decorating to help her out and every thing has developed from there. I found that once I was taught the right way of doing decorating it was even more interesting for me.  I discovered the avenue of my artistic talents.  We later opened a small shop in town where we not only did cakes but hand made chocolates too.  Later on I started decorating and teaching cake decorating out of my home.  That was over twenty years ago.  My passion has always been decorating wedding cakes.  

     When I remarried and moved to Michigan, I took a position  with Wilton Industries as a cake decorating instructor in my area and was able to continue training through Wilton to learn the latest techniques in the trade.  At this time I'm not teaching, but I still enjoy decorating wedding and specialty cakes. 

     My hope is that if you are  in the market for a wedding cake, you will give me the opportunity to create a  cake that is uniquely yours!
