TRST

January 21, 2008

We usually sell all of the spring lambs at auction but we kept the 2007 ram lamb pictured below. He's a cross between a white ram and a Jacob ewe, born in February, 2007. Usually such lambs come out with black bodies, white spotted heads and no horns. This one is almost pure black, except for a little flash of white on the top of his head. He also seems to be developing a great set of horns, like his grandfather Quark.

We named him Trst, after the Slovenian city siezed by the Italians after World War I. They put a lot of vowels into the name and called it Trieste, just to confuse people.
