How to Attach Signature Animations in Hotmail

Warning: Please wait for all of the images to load

First, your signature animation must be uploaded to a server online, and you must have the URL (online address) of the image. Click here to learn how!

Sign into your hotmail account.  At the top of the screen you should see a row of buttons like the following; click on the "Options" button:

Next, under "Additional Options", click on "Signature":

Now this is the part where you need to know the online address where your signature image is stored.  So if you haven't found out yet, now is the time to do it.  Once you have the address, type the following into the signature box in Hotmail:

<img src="YOUR IMAGE URL HERE">

Where YOUR IMAGE URL HERE should be replaced with the URL of your picture.

For example, if the URL of my picture was

http://www.geocities.com/boyohboy9/signature.gif

Then this is what I would put into the signature box in Hotmail:

After you have done that, click "OK".

Next, click on "Compose" at the top, as you would to write any other email to a person:

Go ahead and type in the email address of the person you want to send an email to, or if you want you can even send it to yourself since this is just a test.

Then, make sure the box that says "Rich Text Format" is checked; you may have to wait for a few seconds for a small toolbar to appear in the email area (do not type anything until the toolbar appears!):

Compose your email, or leave it blank if you wish, since it's just a test.

Click on the "Add Signature" button, and if everything was done correctly, your signature should appear at the end of your email:

And there you are! Whenever you compose an email, just make sure that the "Rich Text Format" box is checked, and your image will show up whenever you click on "Add Signature."
