The Rules

The 2011 Ray Beaner Memorial Golf Tournament

USGA rules apply except where local rules prevail.

See scorecard for local rules.

Additional rules.

O     Shot-gun start 8:30 AM.  Listen for the starting horn.  See tournament director for starting hole assignment.

O     Two person scramble.  The tournament director will establish player pairings by random draw.

O     Each team must use at least four drives and four fairway shots from each player.  These shots must be noted on the team scorecard.

O     Each team will receive one “gimme string.”  The gimme string is 18” long and can eliminate the next shot if your ball is within the strings length of the hole.  If your ball is closer than 18” from the hole and you choose to use the string, you must cut or mark the amount of string that you used.  That section may not be used again, but the remainder may still be used.

O     The “gimme string” will also be used as a tie-breaker.  If two teams tie, the team with the longest piece of unused string will win.  Each string will be part of the $35.00 tournament fee.
