On Friday May 4th we had a celebration of Cinco de mayo.

On Monday May 14th we went on a field trip to the Racine Zoo in Racine,Wisconsin. We
travelled there on a district school bus. This trip was sponsored by the
North School P.T.O. I would like to thank our P.T.O. and our wonderful
chaperones that made this trip possible.

On Wednesday May 16 at 10:00 AM the Waukegan Fire Department held a Risk Watch
Safety House event. The students learned about fire safety and
prevention and received stickers for completing the various training
activities. We would like to thank the Waukegan Fire Department for
their time and dedication.

Monday May 28 NO SCHOOL in observance of Memorial Day

Wednesday May 30th Our class visited the Fourth grade Science
Fair which was held in the gym.

Friday June 1st Field Day: a day full of fun activities was
held in the playground.
El primero de junio fue el Field Day,
día de juegos y actividades en el patio de recreo.
Monday June 4th Award Ceremony: students were recognized for
their achievements in academics, attendance, behavior, and overall
improvement.

de premios.
Friday June 8th Last day of school.
El viernes 8 de junio fue el último
día de clases.
Monday June 18th Summer School begins (Summer Bridges third
grade at Lyon School in Waukegan).
El lunes 18 de junio comienza la escuela de
verano (Summer Bridges tercer grado en la escuela Lyon en Waukegan).
Wednesday June 27th We had a parent orientation from 11:00 to
12:00.
El miércoles 27 de junio tuvimos una
orientación para padres de las 11:00 a las 12:00 de la
mañana.
Wednesday July 4th No school in observance of Independance
Day.
El miércoles 4 de julio no hay clases ,
en celebración del Día de la Independencia de los Estados
Unidos.
Friday July 27th Summer School ends.
El viernes 27 de julio termina la escuela de

Tuesday August 28th New school year begins! (half day only)
