Model Flying Sites

Pratt’s Wayne Woods
Pratt’s Wayne
is our primary flying site. Owned and
maintained by the DuPage County Forest Preserve, it is located west of Rt. 59,
off Powis Rd.
between Army Trail Rd.
and Sterns Rd. This field is open from every day, from dawn
to dusk, year round. A DuPage County
permit is required to fly.

Greene Valley Slope Hill
Recently, the DuPage County Forest Preserve has made
available a reclaimed trash landfill site for slope soaring. Greene
Valley is located in Naperville,
at 75th St. and Green Rd. (about a half mile west of
route 53). The hill is on the
south-western portion of the preserve.
The slope is open on weekends only (from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm) from April
through October. Your DuPage permit is
also needed at this location.

White Pines Golf Dome
Through special arrangement, we are able to fly after hours
in the Midwest’s largest golf dome. This dome is 300ft x 300ft and 100ft
high. It’s great for small electric
planes ranging from tiny sub-one-ounce models up to light park flyers. The dome is available form November to April
for late night flights (normally Thursday and Saturdays form 11:00 pm to 1:00
am). Check the home page and newsletters
for specific dates. Click on the name
