Might and Magic II: Gates to Another World

Released: Apple II version 1988

Platforms: Apple II, Apple IIgs, Apple Mac, IBM PC, C64/128, Genesis, SNES

Genre: CRPG

Rob's Comments: In my opinion, this is the best game in the Might and Magic RPG series. The graphics took a huge jump. Even the Apple IIgs version looked like it had VGA graphics. I swear this game was 4 times bigger than Might and Magic. Maybe my friends and I were slow but it took almost a year to complete. There were radically different environments to visit. Not only did you crawl around the forest and castles, you also went through fire, snow, deserts, and traveled on water. Time travel played an important part of the game. For example, you'll come across ruins. If you get sent back in time, you'll need to remember where these ruins are because their now castles.
