Sherry Poff My name is Sherry Poff. I am a mother of four, wife of one, and teacher of many. I have a degree in education from Concord College in Athens, West Virginia, and an MA in English/Writing from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. I have lived in Chattanooga since 1978, but am originally from southern West Virginia. Back in my undergraduate days I wrote short fiction and poetry that was published in my college's literary magazine, but have concentrated on non-fiction in recent years. I enjoy writing about my memories and experiences growing up in Appalachia and also enjoy telling stories related to my years in the classroom. I have had inspirational and personal experience pieces published in The Joyful Woman and Daily Meditation. I am interested in writing a regular newspaper column that might one day develop into a collection for a book.
