"I Guess I'll Have To Blame My Wicked Ways"

Lyrics Of Some Of My Songs

rac

Ninety-Nine Days
(The Truck Song)

Oh my side, hey my my
What you gonna do when the well runs dry
Well runs dry I'm gonna catch a train
Down to Louisiana down to New Orleans

I’ve been down and I’ve been bad
I’ve been missing the things I had
I never thought I had a thing to lose
But I never counted on losing you

Oh my side, hey my my
What you gonna do when the well runs dry
Well runs dry I'm gonna catch a train
Down to Louisiana down to New Orleans

I want to go on Decatur Street
Watch the young men when they shuffle their feet
Sure gets hot in the Summer time
Sittin in the shade works out just fine

Oh my side, hey my my
What you gonna do when the well runs dry
Well runs dry I'm gonna catch a train
Down to French Quarter down to New Orleans

Bottle done put me in the county jail
Ninety-nine days on the work detail
Picking up trash on the highway line
In the blazing hot Mississippi sunshine

Oh my side, hey my my
What you gonna do when the well runs dry
Even if I have to swim the Ponchatrain
I'm gonna get back to New Orleans

I Am Not Afraid To Go

You might see me all around your town
I don’t look up and I don’t look down
Straight ahead is the way I move
It's the only way I can catch my groove

You don't know me from what you see
There might be a little more to me
I don't care what you have heard
I'm gonna give you the final word

I don't need no mojo hand
I ain't afraid of no boogie man
I do not fear what I don't know
I am not afraid to go

I know you want everything I got
I might give it to you I might not
And if you think because I stand alone
That you can take me well bring it on

No more mister nice guy here
You won't see me shedding tears
When I cry I cry alone
I don't need no carrying on

I don't need no mojo hand
I ain't afraid of no boogie man
I do not fear what I don't know
I am not afraid to go

Wicked Ways

I’m getting tired of my wicked ways
I’m getting wiser in my old age
I’m going down much more it seems
I’m getting weary from chasing my dreams

You know it seems I'm missing one or two days
I guess I'll have to blame my wicked ways

I'm doing better than I was before
I used to do that I don't any more
It’s a wonder that I'm still ok
And looking forward to every day

You know I'm getting tired of landing on my face
I guess I'll have to change my wicked ways

If I can do it you can too
You ain't no Keith Richards, what are you trying to prove
You will find out one of these days
There ain't no future in your wicked ways

I hope you understand what I'm trying to say
You're better off without those wicked ways

Full Body Transplant

Somebody call me a doctor
Cause I'm not doing very fine
I think I need a full body transplant
Cause I'm not doing well with mine

Every day I wake up one day older
I think I'm running out of time
Gravity is doing it's damage
Pulling all my body parts out of line

I think I need a full body transplant
I'm not very picky who I get
As long as it's not Danny Devito
Drew Carey or that Gary Coleman kid

Maybe I can swap with some teenager
Cause youth is wasted on the young
Maybe I could get a big ball player
Those major leaguers are having all the fun

I think I need a full body transplant
I’m not very picky who I get
As long as it's not Danny Devito
Drew Carey or that Gary Coleman kid

Please don't put my head on some old codger
I don’t think that would suit me very good
My body is shot but my mind is quick and agile
I'm the smartest guy in my whole neighborhood

Please give me a full body transplant
I'm not very picky who I get
As long as it's not Danny Devito
Drew Carey or that Gary Coleman kid

When The Story Is Told

All the way up all the way down
I can’t seem to find middle ground
Too far left too far right
Need some help to get me through the night

I’ve been running round and round
Guess I’m chasing my tail
I’ve been feeling kind of down
Got no wind in my sails
Everything is spinning round
Guess it’s time to grab a hold
I sure want to be around
When the story is told

Not too heavy not too light
Can it be wrong if it feels so right
Moving forward and back again
It seems the cycle is never gonna end

I’ve been running round and round
Guess I’m chasing my tail
I’ve been feeling kind of down
Got no wind in my sails
Everything is spinning round
Guess it’s time to grab a hold
I sure want to be around
When the story is told

Flying higher and higher
Keeping one foot on the ground
Moving faster and faster
Never find a reason to slow down

I’ve been running round and round
Guess I’m chasing my tail
I’ve been feeling kind of down
Got no wind in my sails
Everything is spinning round
Guess it’s time to grab a hold
I sure want to be around
When the story is told
