Academy Details

The Pre-Engineering academy is both fun and challenging!

A series of 5 pre- engineering courses is taken at Worcester Technical High School during the 4 years of high school. Each year your student will take classes at WTHS for 1/2 day during one semester. Morning classes return the students by lunch time. Afternoon classes return the student in time for all after school activities. 

The course curriculum includes many 'hands on' project activities as a vehicle for mastering the course objectives.  The ability to work in groups is essential.

Apply:

• Students can only apply in the spring of their 8th grade year.
• Applications are available at each middle school on March 1st and must be turned in to your guidance counselor by April 15th.
• Acceptance criteria includes a preference for students with a proven interest in the subject.
