COC
Everyone please read and
follow.
Joining:
We want to make our guild an exciting and welcoming experience to all
who wish to join. We do however have rules for all to follow. When a new
recruit is looking to join with us, we need them to understand the basic
principles behind our philosophy and beliefs.
Levels 1-50:
Anyone wishing to join, may join as long as they are
not a thief or griefer. Each new follower has SEVEN days to meet with
an elder or me. They have SEVEN days to sign the CoC’s. Each new follower shall be
placed upon 30 days probation.
Levels 51-75:
As
above all rules apply. The new recruit must meet with an elder or me prior to
joining. They must be Anti- Griefer. Three Elders must approve their
admission to the Guild. Thirty days probation applies as well.
Levels 76-126:
All new recruits must meet with an elder or me prior to
joining. They must be approved by an elder or me to allow entrance to the
Guild. They must post on our Website the reasons they wish to join,
reasons they left their last guild and their stance on our rules. Thirty
days probation applies as well.
Probation:
Each new follower will be placed on Thirty days probation. Each must
sign the CoC’s within the Seven-day period. Each must meet with an elder
or me within the stated time. During their probationary period, the new
follower must prove their Honor and Good Intentions. New followers
breaking any rules during the Thirty days can be released from the
Guild. New followers found to have lied to get in the Guild Will-be
removed at once.
Macro:
No
Unattended Combat Macro (UCM) is allowed. Attended Combat Macro is
allowed as of September 26,2004.
No
program used for cash macro will be allowed, period. Programs intended
to help create items for use such as Robo-Chef will be allowed.
Absolutely NO Unattended Combat/Cash macroing will be allowed. Anyone
found UCM, will be released from the guild immediately.
Past macroers: If you wish to join the Guild and have macro’ed in the
past, you may be allowed to join if you meet the following criteria.
1)
Anyone found to be Pro-macro and during their past, abused, belittled,
or attacked, by use of the Boards (Vault), to attack Anti-Macroers will
NOT be allowed to join.
It is not our intent to hold grudges or condemn those forever. However,
the attacks on Anti-macroers was brutal enough to warrant a full ban on
their gaining access to our Guild.
Griefing:
Our Guild does not allow griefing. The definition of griefing is as
follows:
1) Killing another’s Vulned creature when not if fellow.
2) Jumping of lines or kills while on Quests.
3) Leveling self or others within a much lower level dungeon while
others are attempting to level there.
4) Attacking another verbally for otherwise simple problems that can be
solved by adults.
If something like this happens to you during your hunts, attempt the
following:
1) Attempt to talk with the other person first. Try to come to an
understanding you both can live with.
2) Move to another place within the dungeon.
3) Leave and find another place to hunt.
If the other party is rude and continues to grief, attempt the
following.
1) Ask the offender to stop or leave.
2) Get screen shots of griefer in the act.
3) Attempt to get patrons and Monarchs name of the griefer.
4) Contact an Elder within our Guild.
5) Contact a +Admin and wait for instructions.
If this fails, we shall notify all that the person is a griefer and to
avoid that person. Please make sure of your accusations first. This is a
tricky situation and often times just taking the higher ground and
walking away is better. Remember we are the best Guild.
Stealing/Thieves:
Our Guild is based upon Honor, Integrity, and Morals. We will not allow
thieves to tarnish our reputation. Anyone caught stealing will be
removed from the Guild and you will made known to all who play.
If you are the victim of a Thief, contact your Patron, Elder, or Monarch
immediately. To keep this from happening, follow these basic rules:
1) Don’t trade with known thieves. Many of their names are posted on our
Website as well as the Vault.
2) Check the reputations of others. Ask your friends and guild mates
about people.
3) Don’t give items to those you don’t know while attempting to mule or
have items tinkered. Have your items tinkered by well-known trust worthy
characters.
4) Don’t mule in the open at the Mansion or around towns.
5) Find and purchase an apartment or cottage. The guild can help you
with gaining an apartment.
6) If you aren’t sure about the value of something, stop and ask around.
The +Admins have made it known that stealing is a part of the game.
Don’t fall victim to it. Be safe and think before you lose.
Multiple Characters/Accounts:
Many of us have multiple accounts. Some rules to follow are as follows:
1) You are NOT required to have all your characters within the Guild. We
would wish that you would, but it is not necessary.
2) Recruits wishing to join our Guild are considered individuals. Each
character must pass the requirements to enter the Guild.
3) Characters on one account may have one that is morally right and
allowed to enter while another character macroed and would be banned
from the Guild.
4) Accounts are not to be sold as the rules of Turbine and Microsoft
state. Trading accounts or loaning of accounts is allowed. Beware, these
accounts may be recalled by their original owner at anytime.
These rules were put in place because some were concerned about
followers joining with one account and having another account that is a
bad seed. Each character will be treated as an individual. Each
character must follow and obey the rules.
Loyalty:
Loyalty is earned. Each of our senior members has met the Loyalty
requirements. They make them themselves available when possible, help
when possible, and have stood up for what’s right. We want every member
of the Guild to do the same. Help your vassals and fellow Guild members
whenever possible. Treat each other with the respect they deserve and
treat each other the same way you would like to be treated.
The way you act and are perceived by outsiders is how others will
perceive the Guild. Our reputation is long and strong with-in our world.
Let’s keep the Guild a place of high moral fortitude and honor.
Inter-Guild Disputes:
While these are not good, they do indeed happen occasionally. Follow
these rules and perhaps the issue will be resolved easily:
1) Never attack or accuse a fellow member in public or on the Boards.
2) Attempt to work out your differences first.
3) Contact each other’s Patrons or an Elder.
4) Contact your Monarch.
If the issue cannot be resolved, the following options are available:
1) One may leave the Guild.
2) Both may leave the Guild.
3) Both may challenge each other on the field of combat. If both are
within a certain equal fighting ability, they may challenge each other
to a duel. If the one is undersized or unable to defend himself/herself,
a Champion may be chosen that makes the duel more equal. Both the
challenger and the champion must agree to participate. The winner of the
duel wins the argument and the loser must forfeit all complaints against
the winner. The Monarch can rule on the decision and the Monarch’s rule
is final. The Monarch cannot Champion a follower, except the Queen
herself.
I believe working thru your problems and communicating will solve many
disputes easily and quickly.
Player Killers:
Player Killers offer a different aspect to the game and welcomed with-in
our Guild. Becoming a Player Killer does not make one go berserk and
change ones personality. While playing the part of PK’er, you must
remember that you are championing the Guilds Honor and causes. Defend
our Morals with integrity and principle. Pk’ing does not allow you to
adjust the rules because you’re acting differently. You must uphold the
rules by which we live.
The following Rules are in place to live and die by:
1) No foul language will be tolerated.
2) No harassing of other Pk’ers will be allowed.
3) No Looting of Guild members.
4) No Looting of Alliance members.
5) We don’t approve Looting in all cases, but if you are looted and
return and kill the Looter, I will not stop you from Looting that
character.
6) Obey rules in a Duel. If your opponent breaks the rules set forth,
kill him and don’t duel again.
7) Never lose control of your Honor while PK’ing, you are the
representative of your Guild.
Many problems arise from becoming a Player Killer. Be prepared. Remember
most other guilds allow looting and griefing. They will attack you in
numbers and will attempt to talk down to you. Remember who you are and
what you stand for. You may lose a battle one day but you’ll always be
able to defend your Honor another day.
If you are new to PK’ing, get with a member who has and ask questions.
You might be surprised at what you find as normal play is quite
different once you become red.
Our War Council has set up practice and Alliances that are based on
Honor. Don’t ruin the work done.
Anyone violating the rules of War will be released from the Guild.
