Reading Public Library will host A calligraphy workshop on Saturday, February 11, from 9 A.M. - 12 Noon. Lisa Kaija will lead the group. The library will subsidize a portion of the cost, so the materials fee for participants will only be $7. Refreshments will be provided by the library. Please bring an 18-inch clear plastic ruler, a gum eraser, and a quotation, verse, or Valentine's message of 25 words or less. Space is limited, so register now by calling the library at 484-5588. Reading Public Library will host a book-discussion series. Everyone is welcome. The library will provide copies of each book. The meetings will be 7 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. on the dates listed below.

Wed. Feb. 15: As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner
Wed. Mar. 1: The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway
Wed. Mar. 15: Pembroke by Mary E. Wilkins Freeman
Wed. Mar. 29: My Antonia by Willa Cather

The bidding process for Phase 1 of the renovations (bathroom & septic) has begun. Several potential contractors have been notified. We're hoping to break ground in early June.
