Openshelves
October 2001 Jane Cleveland and I have been sorting cards. There appear to be a couple hundred overdue books, some dating back two years. We've managed to get the cards organized and are in the process of calling people about the books. That will also give me an opportunity to update the patron list. There will be no charge for any overdue books, no matter how long they've been out. You can help by taking a look around your homes and returning any books that belong to the library. Thanks. Story hour for preschoolers will continue each Thursday at 10:30 A.M. through November 15, then will start again in the spring. Babies and children through age 4 and their caregivers are welcome. Our first week was a great success. We had 8 children and Lisa Kaija performed beautifully. Our last board meeting was a lively one. There were several people from the community in attendance. Everyone was heard from. It was invigorating to know that so many in town care so passionately about the library. The board meets the first Thursday of every month at 6 P.M. The meetings are open and everyone is welcome. Library hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12-7, closed from 3:30-4, and Saturdays from 10-12.
