Reading Public Library will host weekly story hours for preschoolers on Thursday mornings at 10:30 beginning September 13. Babies and children through age 4 and their caregivers are welcome. There will be readings, songs, a craft, and a snack provided. If there are questions, contact me at the library. The phone number is 484-5588.

Vermont Public Radio (89.5 Windsor) broadcasts stories for children each Sunday evening at 7, and re-runs the program each Monday night at 6. The series is called Camel's Hump Radio.

I want to mention that the library does have internet access. It is available, free, to adults and children. I am happy to have you come in and explore.

Thanks to Barbara Acuna, the town clerk. She has been a big help to me as I get to know the community and the library. Almost daily I need new information, and she has been patient and accommodating.

But the snail
Is calm and serene.
