Thanks to a number of grants, fundraising events, and donations, we at the Reading Public Library have raised nearly all the money for a handicap accessibility lift. By doing much of the excavation ourselves, we'll save more than $5,000. These savings will allow us to pay for construction. We'd welcome any and all community members to participate in Reading Library’s "Little Dig" project on Saturday, September 15, from 8 A.M. to 6 P.M. Each hour there will be a new team of three people digging out the library crawlspace, so you'd be asked to volunteer only one hour of your day. Refreshments and lunch will be provided, along with childcare for volunteers who need it. Tickets for a 50/50 raffle will be available throughout the day. If you'd like to help, call Tony Pikramenos at 484-5588 or Lisa Wesinger at 484-9285. Thank you.

Cordially,
Tony
