Dogwood Dogs 4-H Club
The Dogwood Dogs 4-H Club has been meeting in the home of Eve & Roger since January, 1992. Club members, boys and girls, ages 5-18, learn & work together as they do arts & crafts, develop leadership skills and serve their community. If Eve & Roger lose their home, the Dogwood Dogs will lose its meeting place.
You may have seen us in the 4-H Parade at the Montgomery County Fair...
Or doing craft demonstrations in the 4-H Building.
From December to February every year, our candy houses delight visitors to the Twinbrook Community Library. Our club members also sponsor a monthly program, "Crafts for Kids" at the Twinbrook Community Library. At Crafts for Kids, young children from the community have an opportunity, free of charge, to participate in a variety of craft projects, led by members of the Dogwood Dogs 4-H Club.
Our annual community service projects include making Valentines for Hospitalized Veterans, sponsoring an Angel Tree Child, and decorating and filling bag lunches for the homeless who frequent Rainbow Place Shelter in Rockville.
This quilt was made by club members when our assistant club leader of 9 years retired. You may see other quilts made by our club on display at the Children's Resource Collection at the Rockville Library and at the Davis Library on Democracy Blvd. Our club motto is "Bark! Bark! Do Art!"
