Our Roots and Gene's Origin

GENE PITNEY came from Rockville, CT... even though he was born at Hartford Hospital, his parents were Rockville residents at the time, and he grew up there. He played up at Henry Park, wrote songs in the parking lot of Walker's Reservoir, sang and worked at the Palace Theater and formed his 1st band, The Genials with friends from Rockville High School, Dick Spurling, Bob Terry and Laddie Czerwinski... Gene and Laddie are gone now, but their memories will live on with us! ROCKVILLE REMEMBERS!
