Dear writer, Thank you for your
interest in the 2006 Scribe and Quill New Voice in Literature Award. The
goal of this award is to find and acknowledge quality writing that has
been overlooked by agents and the larger publishers. There is more to this
contest than simple recognition.
One talented pen will receive a publishing contract with Red Engine
Press. This competition will be limited to the first two hundred
applicants. Submissions will open on June 1st during the Book Expo of
America. The winner will be announced during BEA 2006. ~ Beverly

Judges Beverly Walton-Porter is
a Colorado-based professional freelance writer who has had hundreds of
columns, articles and reviews featured in numerous publications since she
began freelancing in 1997. She is the editor/publisher of Scribe
& Quill, an award-winning ezine for writers. She is co-author of
The Complete Writer, published by Red Engine Press. Her next book,
Sun Signs for Writers, will be published by F+W Publications, Inc. in
2006. J.D. (Jimmy) Gordon is a new voice in Literature. His first book
titled Caribbean Calling is due for release
by Red Engine Press in October 2005. It will
be followed by two other books in his tropical crime-based trilogy centered on the adventures of
firefighter Eddie Gilbert — Island Bound and Pirate's Fall . Jimmy
is a native of Chicago and has been a professional firefighter/paramedic
for the past twelve years. Gordon's Caribbean trilogy is his first venture
into the world of writing. Rebecca
Forster has been writing for twelve
years, six of those in the legal thriller field. Her books include Keeping Counsel, Character Witness, The
Mentor and Beyond Malice. She holds an MBA from Loyola
University and spent many years as a marketing executive before resigning
to write full-time. She is the proud mother of two sons and wife of a
Superior Court Judge in Los Angeles, California. Her books have been
acclaimed by Publisher's Weekly, Barnes and Noble and she was one of USA
Today's best-selling authors. |
