Rosemary Petracca Cappello, Editor, Poet, and Artist

Rosemary Cappello’s poetry has been published in numerous journals, from The Anthology of Women Writing to Voices in Italian Americana.   She has been a featured reader at just about anywhere that poets congregate, from the Alpha Delta Kappa, Gamma Chapter Annual Tea, to Zone One Gallery.  Poet, writer, reviewer, workshop leader, performer, Cappello is the founder, editor and publisher of Philadelphia Poets and as such, organizes readings regularly, featuring poets whose works appear there.  Originally a newsletter, Philadelphia Poets is now a full-length literary journal, and eleven volumes in the larger format have been published since April 2003.  The current 2009 issue, 160 pages, perfect bound, is available from the editor, hoping to soon deliver it to Robin's Book Store, 108 S. 13th Street, and Giovanni's Room, 12th & Pine.  Cappello has her B.A. from Widener University, where she graduated Summa cum Laude in 1983, the recipient of many awards.   A water colorist as well, she has exhibited her work at numerous galleries.  She has three children, Joseph, Anthony, and Mary, and two grandchildren, Joey and Ilia, and is pleased to have been selected Poet of the Month for October 2007 and again for February 2009 on Janet Mason’s Website, www.amusejanetmason.com.
