Personal Counselors Articles of Incorporation
Before Personal Counselors, INC. was a Re-evaluation Counseling business, it was incorporated as one of L. Ron Hubbard's first Dianetics Mission in 1952.
Letter from Harvey Jackins on Dianetics
Jackins participated in Hubbard's outreach to the medical and psychiatric professions to gain acceptance. When Dianetics was critically scrutinized by these professions, Hubbard and Jackins denounced them to the end of their lives. RC and Dianetics/Scientology continue to disparage the mental health profession and forbid members from taking psychiatric medications.
Letter from a Dianetics Organizational Secretary to the FBI denouncing Harvey Jackins as a Communist after he broke with Hubbard
After Jackins split from Hubbard and reorganized Personal Counselors INC as "Re-evaluation Counseling," Hubbard went after Jackins through the FBI by identifying him as a Communist.
An FBI internal memo regarding the above letter
Hubbard was known to the FBI as a crank but Jackins was eventually called before the infamous House Unamerican Activites Committee (HUAC). There, Jackins refused to answer questions but instead made a sales pitch for RC/Dianetics.
Post from Steve Jebson on "alt.religion.scientology" about the above memo.
This was posted on the Scientology newsgroup and later archived on zenu.net, the a Scientology resource similar to this site and dedicated to telling the truth about Hubbard and Dianetics/Scientology which is suppressed within that group. This post reflects how Re-evaluation Counseling and Harvey Jackins is regarded by ex-Scientologists.

Letter of Resignation from 45 twin city co-counselors
In 1981 most of the Twin Cities' RC leadership and co-counselors quit in protest of Jackins' sexual exploitation of women clients and his exclusion of their delegate, Tom Copeland, to RC's World Conference to discuss the allegations.
Letter from Tom Copeland, Regional Delegate to RC's World Conference
RC's attempt to cover-up Jackins' sexual exploitation involved silencing people in RC, censoring RC literature, throwing out people and even whole communities, and finally instituting the "Attack Policy."
Letter from Pat Pearson
1991 letter from Pat Pearson who Jackins recruited into Personal Counselors INC. She describes Jackins' sexual harassment of herself and women clients at PC INC. The letter illustrates how Jackins used co-counseling sessions to seduce clients sexually.
Letter from Dr. Richard Childs, former Kansas City RC leader
1991 letter from Richard Childs, a Kansas RC leader and psychiatrist, addressing his concerns about RC and Jackins.
Letter from Michael Sweringen, former ARP for New York City
1993 letter from Michael Sweringen, describes how he quit as Area Reference Person for NYC after Jackins tried to seduce a woman at an RC workshop he was attending. The letter illustrates how Jackins enlisted his female leaders (Diane Balsar, Dorothy Stoneman, and Barbara Love) to try to silence Sweringen. Most of the NYC RC community quit following this incident.
