Articles
TV: Celebrity Tidbits (Exclusive 2003)
Miscellaneous quotes from stars like Noah Wyle ("ER"), Patrick Duffy ("Dallas"), Sarah Jessica Parker ("Sex in the City") and James Gandolfini ("The Sopranos") that never fit into any of the articles I wrote, so I put them here for the first time.
Music: Feeling Blu (Sophisticate's Black Hair 2001)
This one's a beauty-focused magazine interview with new pop star Blu Cantrell, who sang "Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops)."
Lifestyle: Richard Simmons' Weight-Busting Tips (Complete Woman, 2002)
Richard Simmons is as exuberant as you think he is. He also has more common sense than he's been credited with.
Music: Janet--the Interview (Sophisticate's Black Hair 2001)
This magazine feature is based on a canned interview done by the folks at Virgin Records. I simply organized the material for the magazine's June/July cover story.
TV: Triple H-Blue Blood and Brawn (iSyndicate 2001)
If you don't know who Triple H is, you must not be a pro wrestling fan. I pity you.
TV: My Life As An Extra on "Early Edition" (TVQuest 1998)
The coolest thing about this gig was that I still get royalty payments from my 2-second spot on this series. You can even hear my voice, if you listen really, really closely.
TV: On The "Cupid" Set With Paula Marshall (TVQuest 1998)
Written in the newspaper syndication style of Tribune Media for a TV listings website, this is the result of my visit to the Chicago set of ABC's hour-long drama.
Movies: The
Craft (Cinescape 1996)
Here I interviewed lead Robin Tunney, producer Doug Wick and director Andrew Fleming
of this movie about four teens practicing witchcraft.
Movies: Joe's
Apartment (Cinescape 1996)
For this story I talked to star Jerry O'Connell and director John Payson about
cockroaches.
Movies: The Trigger Effect (Cinescape 1996)
Director David Koepp discussed his movie starring Elisabeth Shue, Kyle MacLachlan
and Dermot Mulroney.
Computer Games: Red Storm Rising (Gamespot 1997)
I got a hot news exclusive at E3, the annual video gaming convention, with Red Storm's
creator and best-selling author Tom Clancy.
Rants
The two articles here are just silly, I wrote them in summer of 1999 for a friend
who was out of work and trying to alleviate her boredom by putting a website together.
One is my real take on the MTV VJ search, and the other puts a positive
spin (sort of) on getting tons of mail-order catalogs.
