Women’s Strength

This page displays fabric mosaic art created by Kerri Jones. Her art is inspired by historical works, showing the great range of differing aspects of women’s strength. This art draws you inward, into the complex realm of the interplay of emotion, position, and volition. What are these women thinking?

The medium is exclusively cotton fabric, applied to a muslin backing. Small fabric pieces (tesserae) are overlapped and outlining is accomplished with delicate fabric strips. No stitching, painting or ink is used.

UPDATE Signed digital reproductions are available at RemnantWorks and discount unsigned w/ framing options at Imagekind
