(Success is ...
the quality of the journey)

... about me

People describe me as a "computer jock", but I describe my self as a "helper".

I help people in many ways: emotionally, professionally, technically, financially, and charitably. In every thing I do, I want to be remembered for the high standards that I held myself to, how I exceeded expectations, and did it in away I could be proud of. Helping does not mean doing for; I remember the fish / fishing story.

... my family

Married but no "rugrats". However I have a niece-in-law and two grand-nephews-in-law that fulfill that requirement. Since I have a strange last name, I "collect" reinkes via the web and am "building" my own extended family.

... my work

With more than 30 years of what I describes as "playing with technology", I have helped organizations achieve their objectives. I've tried to identify and work out the kinks in getting IT to deliver the business results that executives know are in “there” somewhere. It sometimes took tuning of the underlying business process, developing demonstrations of technology to make the problems obvious, or tuning the business requirements / technical constraints trade offs. It's all about getting results. I'm now working with Comcast developing their directory to do all sorts of good things for their Customers.

... my interests

My alma mater Manhattan College, "collecting" baseball stadiums, doing charitable work, Networking, exploiting any new idea, and playing with my high tech toys.

... my likes

"Success" books & tapes, beer and pizza, "breaking" computer games, and exploiting open source software.

... my dislikes

"forms & administrivia", politicians of any party, and any type of theft even if it is labeled as "taxes".

... whatever else

I like the libertarian philosophy.

Use the email form in the first link in the LINKS section. It comes to an address that I always monitor, if I'm alive and have a computer. You may reeived a response from a strange address. See I allocate my email addresses by topic so I can prioritize my time. I'm a procrastinator at heart, so this ensures that I don't become fixated on only one of the many twirling plates.
