English 6 Bell Grandfather Clock
	This English grandfather or tall case clock has an 8 day 3 weight movement. It plays each sequence on 6 Bells; one sequence on 1/4 hour, two on half hour, three on the 3/4 hour, then four on the hour followed by the hour! The movement is original, and in good running order. I should point out at this point that the movement does have a new escape wheel that was professionally done in England by an expert clock mechanic. The brass dial with moonphase is in great original condition, and measures 13" x 18." Unfortunately, the gears & levers on back of dial to move the moonphase are missing. The clock has a great Mahogany case in excellent condition with one exception. There is an age crack in the base of the clock in the front. The case measures 21" wide x 96" high x 11" deep. On the brighter side, the hood of this clock is simply magnificent with highly sculptured hood latice, and three brass finials. The case has great patina. I date the clock circa 1800. Just a great addition to any collection with it's 6 Bell movement. Asking: $11,500 US
