|ONLINE PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY THIS SEMESTER|
Physical Geography studies the processes at work in the physical environment--its weather, climate, rocks, landforms, soils, and ecosystems. This course examines the impact of the physical environment upon people and the impact of people upon their physical environment.
This 3 unit online course meets the physical science requirement for transfer to the University of California and California State Universities.

Online Physical Geography Course Content and Learning Modules are used for this online course.
Register for this class when you are sure that you are a good candidate for online learning. An online class demands more from you than a regular lecture class.
You will have a course management USER ID to access the course. You access the course content, assignments, Web links, and graded quizzes from the course management home page and the Physical Geography Course Homepage. You submit your assignments through email. Assignments take advantage of the rich resources of internet maps and graphics. You contribute to class discussion through postings in the course management discussion forum.
Each week you are required to complete:
Orientation and Examinations
There will be a face-to-face orientation meeting to familiarize you with the online course format. In addition, there will be two face-to-face midterms and a final examination. The examinations will be held Saturdays. (Times and place to be announced.)
Distant learners from outside the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Area need to make special arrangements with the instructor for an examination proctor.
