Here are some pictures you might find humorous.  They are drawn by my good friend
Jeffrey Newman.  You might find more of his artwork on the web elsewhere.  The first
and third pictures were drawn on the occasion of the need to replace the cruise control
on my father's '71 Rolls Royce.  It so happens that the cruise control unit is the same
one as an early '70s AMC big sedan.  Getting the part, however was difficult.  When we
did find the right model, the cruise control was always missing.  The first shows the
trouble we were having with the defective original part

The second drawing was made when my friend and I were trying to replace his VW Rabbit's

head.  We got one "rebuilt" from a local shop.  Needless to say it was no good and we
had to TRY to return it.  They tried to insist that it was fine.  They could not argue
when I showed them that the overhead cam would not turn at all!  We decided to get a
good part from a VW dealer.

The last drawing is a good commentary on roadside restrooms!
