This page shows the possible relationships between the Hutchinson DNA Project test members whose test results have indicated a relationship exists.

This is a very interesting group. The family trees include the surnames Hutchinson, Hutcheson, Hutchison and Hutcherson. Initial DNA testing indicates the Hutcherson member and the descendant of a Hutcherson are "probably related". But DNA testing of the third group member, 77720, indicates they are both "related" to 77720. Member 77720 is what is referred to as a "betweener". 77720 serves as a link between the two other members and raises their probability of being related to each other.

Two of these project members are Hutchinson's. One is a descendant of a Hutcherson, 15075, and the other is a descendant of a Hutcheson, 77720. The third, 83243, is a Hutcherson. The descendant of a Hutcheson, 77720, followed his family through the name changes from Hutcheson to Hutchison to Hutchinson. Members 15075 and 77720 trace their roots to Virgina in the mid-1700's. DNA testing indicates these members are related. The point of connection is yet to be determined.
