Hutchinson DNA Project

My earliest HUTCHISON / HUTCHINSON ancestor would be John HUTCHINSON, he shows up on his sons death register and also his wife Mary WILSON both deceased before 1858. It is not known if they were born or died in Ireland or Scotland.
The following information may be just a coincidence of names and the date falls within range
A search of Irish Marriages in the Hibernian Magazine page 229 shows a HUTCHINSON, John, surveyor of excise = WILSON Miss, d. of Edw., of Richmond, Oct 1808 (640). A reverse search shows page 472 WILSON Miss = HUTCHINSON, John, 1808 (640)

Robert HUTCHISON & family first show up in the 1851 St. Cuthberts Edinburgh Sct ED 68 Page 17 Line 15 Roll 1155 census with wife Anne age 35 Maryton Forfarshire, son James 4, daughter Ann both born Edinburgh West Church. This would put the family living in Edinburgh since 1847. Also at 34 Carnagie Street was Ann’s widowed mother Isabella Anderson age 70 born Inverkeilor Forfashire and Supported by children.
Robert HUTCHISON, Head, Married, Police Constable, born Ireland Canon Parish Co. Antrim  That would make birth year 1819 or 1820 [there is not a Canon Parish in Belfast area]

On one of Robert and Anne’s children 1855 Newington & Grange Edinburgh birth registration he was listed as a Night watchman Edinburgh Police Force age 36 born in Belfast Ireland. The informant was Ann his wife. That would make birth year 1819 or 1820. Also there had to be 2 daughters who died before 1855 and they do not show up on 1851 census

On Robert’s 1858 Newington & Grange Edinburgh Scotland death registration he was listed as a Labourer in Gas Work, Married age 38, parents John Hutchison, Labourer (deceased) & Mary Hutchison maiden name WILSON (deceased). This would make birth year 1820. Informant Anne Hutchison present.

A search for a Scottish marriage came up blank but the IGI had a marriage in Belfast which has not been proven yet but fits time frame.
