Printed Circuit Board Layout Rice Audio can help you to layout small two or three layer PCBs and provide the Gerber and drill data that would be required by a PCB fabricator. Rice Audio is developing a technique to fabricate double side PCBs with the use of chemical etchants and thru-hole plating to reduce the cost of prototyping.

CNC Machining Rice Audio has a small computer controlled milling machine and metal turning lathe. It can be used to make items such as custom connector panels. Large holes can be cut by trepanning and thus no special drill bits or chassis punches are required. The base rate for custom machining service is $100.00.

Powder Coating Powder coating is a method used to add a plastic coating to metal objects or any object that can be heated to 350° farenheight. It is sometimes referred to as a method for painting but the resulting finish is much thicker and harder than could be obtained from any aerosol paint. The paint comes in the form of a fine powder which is deposited onto the object via an electrostatic gun. The object is then placed in an oven where the coating is melted and cured. The technique is especially popular among bikers and auto enthusiasts. Rice Audio has a small oven and an assortment of colors. The base rate for powder coating service is $50.00.

Sound Reinforcement Rice Audio has sound reinforcement equipment sufficient for a small room and can arrange to borrow equipment for larger events given sufficient advance notice. The base rate for sound reinforcement service is $100.00.

MP3 File Conversion Rice Audio can convert your compact disks to MP3 file format and help you to play the music on your computer or download to any MP3 music player such as the Nomad II. The MP3 format works so well that most people cannot tell the difference between an MP3 or CD source.

Custom Design and Manufacture Rice Audio was founded to solve specific problems musicians had interfacing various electronic instruments and pickup systems. Although the cost for custom printed circuit board design and manufacture remains high, we may be able to suggest a solution if you to email your request.
