Here are some photographs I've taken that I'm proud of. I've got more, but I have only so much room. I'll add as time permits....... (click on any of them for a larger image...)

Buckingham Fountain in Chicago about 1990. This was taken in October, just before it closed for the year.

Navy Pier, July 1991. I took Rick to see the USS Farion, A Coast Guard Fast Frigate, I believe they called it. Impressive ship. We walked around the pier afterwards and I was impressed with the mood set here. This may look a little darker than the original.

Her is a picture of my daughter, Kathleen when she was about 4 years old. She's a bit bigger at thirteen, now. She'll be fourteen when you see her in July.

Here's a picture of Kathleen and me on December 29th, 2001. As you can see she's still a cutie.  Pardon the quality, but I took this with a web camera. It does make things easier.

These are some wildflowers at Crabtree Nature Center, outside Palatine. It was a perfect day for this kind of picture. High overcast diffused the lighting enough for a perfect exposure.

A nice shot of a cactus in the Desert Museum outside Tucson, October '99. Next to it is one of the new pictures I took this summer (June, 2001) with my new camera. I'm still getting used to what I can do with it.

This, and the next two were taken at St. Mary's Woods near Libertyville, IL.

If you like any of them an want to make them the backgroung for you Windows desktop, Right-click and select 'Set as Wallpaper'. You can also click on the image to see it full-sized first.

Aren't the woods near the house restful in the autumn? When I was out taking these pictures this October  2001, I was out for more than three hours and did not see a single soul. It really was great! I ended up in some places in the woods where I wasn't so sure I could get out. Below is a picture of an area as the woods slope towards Slough Lake, which is two blocks from the house.
