With these recent paintinngs, I wanted to paint more like the way I was painting about 10 years ago. I have been doing too much splatter and drip technique lately and not enough mark making with the brush. I refer to my paintings as acrylic with additives because I add little things to the paint. They might be sawdust, seeds, beads, glitter, paper dots and just about anything I find that can be added to paint and stirred in. I like the strong impact of a figure/ground relationship for a composition. I hope you get at least a moment of entertainment from this artwork.
