I wish I knew more about the photos in this album, to say nothing of the people they represent.  Alas, other than my immediate family, I never really knew any of them.  My grandfather, Tobias Muth, was the only one I ever met, but he died while I was still very young.  Any information I have, from the album or other sources, is provided here.

The album was sent to my father, Tobias Richard Muth, by Mrs Fred Muth (his Aunt) in 1988 and was then given to me, Richard Franklin Muth.  Little is know about the photos by my father, except by what was written in the book already.

The young people, pictured below, are identified as my great aunts and uncles.  My great grandfather, Jacob, is on the end page, and the young Tobias in the middle is my grandfather, Tobias (Tobe) Jacob Muth.  Great grandfather Jacob moved to Newark N.J. from Germany.  All of his children were born here, in Newark. Tobias was the oldest son.  Most of his brothers and and sisters did not marry.  My father, Tobias Richard (T. Richard) was his only child.

Note:  This album is quite old, as are most of the photos in it.  Unfortunately, many were held in place with cellophane tape, which has discolored over time.  I chose to manipulate the album as little as possible, and so am presenting the photos here pretty much as they are on each page of the book.  Album pages are seen here in reduced size, but clicking the image will open it in full-size, in another window.  Other, loose photos, are shown without reduction on additional pages.  I have not scanned all the pictures, but hope to get around to it at some point.
