Every Key Club, which is made up of high school students of all ages and backgrounds, has the responsibility to conduct an active program of service for the school and community. Through this program, the members fulfill the objectives of the Key Club, which are:
To develop initiative and leadership,
To accept and promote the following ideals:
|
|
Each student of elementary school age, who succeeds in raising their grade point average, without a reduction of a grade in any one subject, is eligible for this prestigious award. Our members present a B.U.G. Certificate to students at several elementary schools throughout the northern districts of the Colorado Springs area. |

Our major fund raiser is our annual bell ringing campaign in support of the Salvation Army. All proceeds from our efforts go directly to the Salvation Army. Another fund raiser is our donation can that circulates during each meeting. These proceeds from various days are rotated between Care & Share and Silver Key Senior Services. A third fund raiser is from the "Happy Dollar" contributions made during our club meetings. Whenever a member is happy about something, or wishes to tell a short anecdote to the club, he or she donates a happy dollar to the pot. These funds are earmarked solely for our Key Club Scholarship fund. A fourth fund raiser involves the recycling of aluminum beverage cans. We are always on the lookout for more ways to raise money for our service projects! |
