This is the view going up the staircase. The steps have been painted a dark brown and there was an industrial type carpet on them. On the landing is a large window with glue glass (for privacy I suppose), topped by a stained glass transom. The ubiquitous dark brown tile was on the landing also. At the second floor landing a wall and door had been erected, to enable the tenant to close off the second floor.
