Felt Santa

This craft is EASY It is achievable by anyone

MATERIALS:
Red, white, pink and black felt ** scrap of gold soutache braid white glue fusible web buckram iron-on interfacing red cord for hanging paper punch (1/4" and 3/16") fine-tip ballpoint pen oak tag ** NOTE: 1 yd 72"-wide red felt makes about 28 Santas

DIRECTIONS:
1. Enlarge the patterns following these directions. Fuse the iron-on interfacing to the felt; with the ballpoint pen, trace the patterns to the interfacing side. From red, cut 1 Santa, following the broken lines on the pattern. From the white, cut a pair of cuffs and 1 each of a beard, pompoms, suit and hat trim. From the black, cut a pair of boots and a belt. From the pink, cut a 1 1/2" x 1" face to underlap the white felt hat/beard. From the green, cut 1 tree. From the buckram and from the fusible interfacing, cut a Santa (like the red felt one) and a tree.
2. For hanging ornaments, fuse the buckram to the back of Santa and tree (omit the buckram for appliqués). Glue the pink hatband/beard behind the white. Glue the white cuffs, trim the pompom over Santa. With the paper punch, cut two black eyes and a red mouth; glue to the face. Glue the gold braid to the belt for the buckle. Glue the tree behind one hand.
3. For a hanging ornament, make a small hole at the X. Cut a 6" cord and ties the ends together; push the loop through the hole and tie a slipknot.
