Quick Hair Decorations Create any of the designs shown in the picture for a fraction of what they'd cost to buy. Dress up dime-store headbands, barrettes or elasticized ponytail holders. Bows, ribbon streamers, bits of eyelet, appliques, buttons, charms and miniature fake flowers work well for the materials. Use an all-purpose glue to affix everything. Simply attach the decorations as shown. Even buttons threaded on ribbon should be reinforced with a drop of glue. (TIP: Use a metal hair clip to hold trims in place, while glue is drying.) Very little sewing is required; you need only a few stitches to gether circles of eyelet, secure the bows or sew on buttons.
