Lingerie Case

Lingerie Case

AVERAGE: For those with some experience in sewing.

MATERIALS:
15" x 36" rectangles -- 1 of bag fabric, 1 of lining fabric and 1 of batting
snap or Velcro closure (optional)

DIRECTIONS:
Cut one 15" x 27" rectangle for the bag and another for the lining.
Cut two 3 1/2" x 8 1/2" strips for the side boxing; curve the corners at one (bottom) end of each strip.

2. Baste the batting to the wrong side of the bag and boxing pieces.
Quilt around the flowers if you like.
Seam the boxings to the bag, starting at one end of a 27" edge; this will form the pouch.
Sew the boxing to the lining the same way.

3. With the right sides together, pin the flap end of the bag to the flap end of the lining.
Stitch around the 3 flap edges.
Turn the flap right side out and poke the lining pouch into the bag pouch.
Turn the raw edges and slipstitch around the top edges.
Press

4. Topstitch 1/2" from the flap edge and continue, through all layers, around the boxing edges.
Sew on the snap or Velcro closure, if desired.
