
Snowman Tree Skirt
   
This craft is EASY. It is achievable by anyone.

MATERIALS:
1 1/4 yds. white felt 1/4 yd. 36"-wide green felt 9" x 12" piece of black felt scraps of orange, yellow and brown felt white glue paper for pattern pencil scissors nonstretch cord or string compass

DIRECTIONS: 1. Fold the red felt in half lengthwise, then in half crosswise to find the center. Using a 22" length of nonstretch cord or string to serve as a compass. knot one end and pin to the center point of the felt.
2. Tie a pencil to the other end of the string and draw a circle on the felt, 44" in diameter. Cut out with sharp scissors. With the compass, draw a 3" circle in the center of felt and cut out. Cut a slit from the center of the felt to the outer edge.
3. Enlarge the pattern following these directions
4. Cut out the appliqués from from the assorted colors of felt as specified in the pattern. Glue to the skirt, overlapping where necessary. Refer to the photo for placement.
5. Also, cut 5 strips of white about 1" wide for the border between the snow hills.
6. For the bird, cut 1 beak and 2 feet from yellow; 1 eye from black. Cut a brown brromstick. Cut 3 white snowballs. Cut a brown branch for holly and 6 red berries. Cut a red mouth for each snowman
7. Glue all felt pieces to the skirt.
