Stuffed Cow

STUFFED COW

EASY: Achievable by anyone.

MATERIALS:
Two 12" x 18" pices of fabric **
3/4 yd. ribbon
synthetic stuffing
smallbell (optional)

** NOTE: To make "your own" patchwork fabric, seam strips (1" to 2" wide) of fabric side by side.

DIRECTIONS:
1. Enlarge the pattern following these directions.

2. Over the 2 fabric pieces (right sides together), pin the pattern and cut on the solid lines.
Stitch 1/4" inside the cut lines (and along the broken lines at legs), leaving open between the circles.
Clip at the inside curves and corners.
Slash halfway between the broken lines.
Turn the right side out and stuff.

3. UDDER: Stitch the same way as the cow, leaving the top edges open.
Turn and stuff.
Sew gathering stitches 1/4" from the top edges and pull up the thread slightly.

4. Turn in the open edges of the cow, insert the udder against the back legs (see photo) and slipstitch closed.

5. Tie the ribbon (pulled through a bell, if you wish) around the neck.
