July 5, 2002 -- I flew from Maryland to Colorado.  A 10-year-old boy and I played our gameboys on the airplane. 

Mom, Uncle Rick and I rode the car to Boulder.  We went swimming.  We got out of the pool.  And then I took my bathing suit off.  And then I got dressed.  And that's all. 

July 6, 2002 --  Sergei took a picture of a cowboy.

We went to the Boulder Creek. Sergei took off his shoes.

Uncle Rick and Sergei went in the pool.  (Sergei was interrupted from this journal entry because Uncle Gary came in the room and said, "What's going on around here." Sergei repeated what Uncle Gary said. Does Sergei want to continue now that Gary has left?  N-O)

I was the leader on the hike.

(Editor's note: On this hike, Sergei earned the moniker Clairvoyant Lamp Aficionado. First, he objected when Rick said he is not a lamp aficionado, saying "Yes I am."  Then he strongly agreed when Charles Fletcher suggested that he is clairvoyant.) 

July 7, 2002 -- We went to Waterworld.  My favorite ride was the one where you swing and then slide.  My scariest ride was the dinosaur one.  At the ending, where we were going out to the pool, I was really, really, really scared about the big dinosaur.  I though it was going to bite me. The big dinosaur is UGLY

I'm going to be a guy that takes pictures.

July 8, 2002 -- Today we went to the playground and took the secret passage way home. And then we went home with Bonnie.  We took off our sandals and shoes. And then we drank some more. I made some coffee for Mommy and Uncle Gary. And when I gave the cups to them I said, "Voilà. Here it is." 

We went to Max's house and we played with each other.  And then we went shopping.  And I got a Dragon Ball new toy.   And then we went to the airport.  And Mommy flew off to Maryland.  Today, I'm going to sleep with Uncle Rick.  Mom's not here so I can sleep with you.  I showed Uncle Gary how my Dragon Ball toy works.

July 9, 2002 --

I went to the gym.  I made a friend in Colorado.  His name is William.  I made stuff and did some exercise.

In gym class, I jumped the highest.

I ran home with Sam and Bonnie, I ran the fastest.  That's because I'm Flash, and Uncle Rick is Batman.  

And now I'm playing with my Dragon Ball toy.

I talked to Mom right now.  It's 8:43 pm. I got a new toy from my friend Forrest. Now I am tired and I'm going to go to bed. 

July 10, 2002 -- John Jones got Flash a Digimon toy. 

(Editor's note: John Jones and Flash are Gary's and Sergei's superhero names, respectively.)

I saw "Men in Black 2."  I liked the part where the worm said, "Get your hand off my butt." And the other worm said, "Oh, I thought it was your face."

At the playground, I got on the 3rd monkey bar.

July 11, 2002 -- I went to gymnastic class and made a clown puppet.  I played with my friends, Dude William and Dude Mike. 

I stopped on a big giant goose that was white and blue.

Forrest is my dude too. I played with him in the afternoon.

July 14, 2002 -- We went camping.  we ate dinner. We went on a hike.  I saw butterflies and bees. All of the bees are Uncle Rick's buddies. 

July 15, 2002 -- This is my first day ride biking.  

July 21, 2002 -- Today, I went to the zoo. I saw an elephant, a giraffe, a hippopotamus, a camel, a lion, crocodile, turtles, frogs, rhinoceros, zebras, wolves, polar bears, sea lion, wart hog, buffaloes, pink flamingos, and big lizards.  One lizard wanted to eat me, and I wanted to eat him too.

We went on a a train and a carousel.  I got a present for my friend Forrest.  I ate a zoo pack.  The hot dog tasted really good, and the chips tasted really good.
