The Great Orion Nebula, M42
This image was taken through my celestron 8" Schmidt Cassegrain telescope with a
Pentax K1000 camera attached. Exposure time was about fifteen minutes, with fast
Konica Film. I made many other unsuccessful attempts over several weeks on cold
December nights until I got it right!
The Moon
This black & white photo was taken using my Celestron 8" Telescope
which functioned as a 2000mm lens on my Pentax K1000. Exposure
time was a fraction of a second.

Cygnus in the midst of the Milky Way
You may be able to make out the North American Nebula in the upper left.
There's quite a bit of sky glow, but it's hard to escape light pollution
in the NorthEast part of the country!
This photo was taken piggy-back on my Celestron C8 with a 50mm lens.
Exposure was about ten minutes on 400 speed film.

Sagittarius and the Center of our Galaxy
This photo also shows a lot of sky glow, but still the thick belt of the center of our Milky Way is unmistakable as are the redish nebulae, like the Lagoon Nebula (M8) and others. You may be able to see the Teapot asterism of the constellation Sagittarius.

The constellation Orion in our backyard.
You can make out the Great Orion Nebula in the sword
of the "Hunter".
