DARK & STORMY are Rick Demers of Norton, MA and Joel Greene of
Bristol, RI. They have been performing as a duo in the Southern New
 England
area for the last nine years. Be it Newport in the summer or Taunton in the
winter you'll find them switching musical gears, as they love playing
Celtic, folk, blues, tasteful pop and rock covers, as well as their own
compositions. Their first C.D. "truth be told" which Teresa Storch of
CDFreedom.com likened it to "time well spent in a mellow honky tonk
dive…" featured Joel playing either violin, mandolin, and electric guitar
accompanied by Rick on acoustic guitar and harmonica. The new CD, "Along
the Way," is more of the same, and then some, as they include the
seasoned rhythm section of Marty Ballou and Marty Richards who
add the desired feel on ten new original songs and two D&S favorite
covers. No doubt the "Marty's" who have backed the likes of John Hammond
Jr, Duke Robillard, and Peter Malick, to name a few, were 'instrumental'
in bringing the songs to another level.
