remove the plastic screws that are on both sides of the                  the filter holder is on top of the blower fan. press the two

glove box.                                                                                    plastic tabs to slide out the filter tray.

this is the empty (of course) filter tray.                                        this is what I bought to put in the tray from  The Home Depot

for around $10.00. Lasts around 90 days,  enough

                                                                                                 material for 6 filter changes.

cut the sheet of carbon to fit the tray (using the carbon is optional).       cut the green filter material to fit  the tray also.

the carbon is for odor removal and would need to be changed every

90 days for maximum effectiveness.

put the green filter material on top of the carbon in the tray.      NOTE:  you want the side with the plastic squares facing down in the holder.

cut out a piece of the plastic grid to fit the holder.                    put the plastic grid on top of the green filter, you will have to

bend the grid a little to clear the plastic tabs on the tray.

WARNING: THE PLASTIC TABS BREAK EASILY!

OPTIONAL

If you want to use both the carbon and an air freshener, place the           the top view of the filter with the air freshener.

air freshener under the carbon sheet so it doesn't remove the scent.

I also got the air freshener called "FilterFresh" from Home Depot, it was

only 99 cents.

UPDATE  the air freshener is pretty strong! I ended up cutting a piece

this size (about 3 inches long) and put it under the black plastic grid.
