Cable Risers™ are the natural next step in getting the most out of high-resolution cables and high-resolution music or home theater systems. Speaker cables, interconnects or AC power cords that rest on the floor are susceptible to a host of sonically degrading ills such as: static electricity and/or dielectric interference from carpeting, capacitive coupling to "earth ground" and floor bound resonances. These all can affect the energy field surrounding a cable and change the electrical parameters designed into the cable robbing the music signal of it's energy and life. Strange as it may seem, lifting your cabling off the floor will result in a more focused and vivacious sonic presentation.
What sets our Risers apart from other stands? Acrylic stands can easily build up static charges...not good. Ceramic based stands are good electrical isolators but not very effective at isolating mechanical resonance from the cable as the stand sets on the floor. With RSAD Cable Risers, the cable rests on a non-dielectric, non-resonant carrier elevating the cable six inches from the nearest interactive field. Our carrier acts as an air dielectric causing the cable to behave as if it were floating in air. This is ideal. Listening confirms that elevating a system's cabling in this manner is certainly a worthwhile improvement in a system's performance with a minimum investment.
Cable Risers™ come in two models; single cable carrier or double cable carrier as pictured below. The double carrier is ideal for shotgun bi-wire speaker cables or for floating two interconnects. Cabling is elevated approx. 6" from the floor for Single Carrier stands and approx. 6" and 4 1/2" for Double Carrier stands. Bases are 4 1/2" and Carrier width is 3 7/8" assuring good stability for any cable weight or size. Custom Sizes available upon request. Available in three finishe: Natural, Mahogany, or Ebony, with your choice of Natural or Ebony carrier poles.
